Game Help: Legends of Laundry

Legends of Laundry (click here to play) is set in Four Farms in the MMO, a peaceful farmland that has recently fallen under a pretty bad curse (monsters everywhere, oh noes!). The goal is to help Elena remove all of the stains from the laundry. Good luck with that one… there are quite a lot of stains!

The Goal

Like I already said previously, the goal is to remove as many stains as you can. The way you do this is by matching 3 or more items of laundry with the same stain.

The Controls

Use your mouse to move your cursor around the screen (duh!). Then, click and hold the mouse button to draw a line through laundry that has common-colored stains. After you’re done “drawing” the line through the common-colored stained laundry, release your mouse to collect your points!

The Modes

There are two modes: survival and level mode.

In survival mode, the goal is (obviously) to clean the most items of laundry before the timer runs out. For every item of laundry you clean, 1 second will be added to the timer.

In level mode, the goal is to clean as many items of laundry before the timer runs out. When the timer runs out, the board will be cleared and you’ll move on to the next “level.”

The Points System

You will receive 10 points for the first three stains that you clean, plus an additional 15 points for any extra laundry in your chain.

Miscellaneous Effects

There are couple of different things that can happen in this game. Take a look at the table below of miscellaneous effects that other characters can have.

This is Sooty, Elena’s mischievous cat. If you scrub him, he’ll drop down to the trough and take all of the clothes below him with him! This is useful especially when he appears at the top.
Sometimes careless customers will leave bombs in their laundry (LOL!). After 3 moves, it’ll explode, taking clothes along with it. Don’t worry, it won’t harm you in any way.
Axes, shields, and rocks are among the many things you should never put in the wash. You can’t remove them manually; you’ll have to get them close to a bomb and let the bomb explode them away.
Squirrels are evil. End of story. Squirrels may randomly come by, knocking off laundry.
You’ll need to scrub fungus off before it spreads. You can’t clean off any stains beneath the fungus until it’s gone.

Pretty simple, huh? :)

Tips and Strategy

There are several different approaches you can take to playing this game. One thing that is VITAL to earning more points in this game is finding the “end” of a chain of common-colored stains. That way, you can include the maximum amount of clothing in each chain. Therefore, more points. Take a look at this screen shot for a demonstration.

Whereas, if you started in the middle of the chain, you may have just barely cleared 3 pieces of clothing. Instead, we got a total of 8 in ours just by finding the end of the chain!

Just for reference, you can only “move” your scrubber up, down, left, and right, but NOT diagonally! Keep this in mind when creating your “chains” of laundry and plan accordingly (e.g., don’t make a line straight through the laundry, you might have to make a square shape in your chain).
