Game Help: Witchery 101
Witchery 101 (click here to play) apprentices witches and wizards that have been rewarded by their teacher Alora. She created a game that is so much fun that students refuse to do anything but to play it. In this game, you have to group spells in chains of 3, 4, or 5. While the smallest chains will only grant you a smaller amount of points and clear the tiles from the board, four and five tile combos will create powerful and helpful spells.
The Goal
The goal of the game is to create vertical or horizontal chains of similar tiles on the 8 X 8 board, thus creating spells of different elements.

The Controls
Use your mouse and click to select the tile of your choice on the board, then click on any adjacent tile to swap them. However, you are only allowed to move tiles that create at least a 3 tiles combo. If it doesn’t create a chain of 3 or more elements, the tiles will just automatically swap back.
The Modes
Currently, Witchery 101 is available in three modes: normal, tuned and level.
In normal mode, you have to do the most combos possible until you run out of possible moves. You don’t have any other restrictions than the tiles that you see on your board.
In tuned mode, you have to do the most combos as possible before you run out of time. The hourglass is located between the board and Alora and the remaining time is shown in purple. If you run out of possible moves, the game will be paused and the board will be shuffled for you.
In level mode, you have to do a certain amount of 4 tile moves or more in a maximum of 30 moves. The regular 4 tile combos and 5 tile combos count towards the total of achieved combos as well as a pair of 3 tile combos removed simultaneously.
The Scoring
In regular mode, you will earn 30 points for a 3 tile combo, 40 points for a 4 tile combo and 50 points for a 5 tile combo. In tuned and level modes, you will earn 60 points for a 3 tile combo, 80 points for a 4 tile combo and 100 points for a 5 tile combo.
In addition to the basic scoring system, you will notice that clearing tiles in consecutive chains will create multipliers. Unless you activate a multiplier through a potion combo or a cat combo, it won’t affect moves after all tiles are all set in place.
The Tiles
There are 3 types of tiles: the elemental tiles, the bonus tiles, and the rock tiles. Let’s have a look at them and their respective effects in the game.

Tips and Strategy
The best way to maximize your points in this game is to shoot for 4 and 5 tile combos. These combos won’t only get you more basic points, but the powerful spells that they create will also increase your chances to string combos, thus creating multipliers. In normal and tuned modes, take your time and search the board carefuly for the combos that will earn you more points.

Focus your attention on the bottom of the board. If you remove tiles from the bottom, you are more likely to create chain reaction when tiles fall from above. Also, try to decide your next few moves before swapping tiles. Perform the move that will be the most helpful first.
Try to do 4 or 5 tile scroll combos in order to unlock hints. Use hints when you really can’t see your next move.

Practice makes perfect! Best of luck to you in this game!
